The Three ME Program, a community outreach program of Saving Lost Kids (SLK), stands as a crucial initiative providing essential spiritual support for missing children and their families. The vision directly tackles the challenges faced by 25 to 30 missing children in the Shelby County area, addressing issues such as community unawareness and a lack of spiritual support for parents.
The first “ME” is “Pray For ME,” linking missing children to faith-based hosts for dedicated spiritual support. The second “ME”, “Stand By ME,” involves reaching out to the families of missing children, offering prayer, spiritual support, and guidance to necessary resources. The third “ME”,
“Lean On ME,” supports parents and caregivers who tragically lost their child before recovery.
A key strength of the Three ME Program is its focus on community involvement and the flexibility provided to hosts in creating unique support methods. This thoughtful approach recognizes the diverse needs of each community involved.
The primary benefit of the program is the intensified, prayerful, and spiritual support for missing children and their families. This aligns with the belief that prayer is essential for the safety, well-being, and recovery of these children. Additionally, the initiative enhances community awareness and involvement, fulfilling the command to “pray for one another.”
While initially centered around Shelby County, the vision extends beyond geographical boundaries, with aspirations to expand the program nationally. The Three Me Program is not merely a program but a divine calling, believed to be provided by God through the Holy Spirit. It emphasizes the unity of the body of Christ in collective prayer and supplication because every kid deserves to be a
child, ensuring a brighter and more hopeful future for those in need.
